Density
CeramiBoard® has a lower density (weight/volume ratio) than competitive materials, such as concrete, fibre cement board and plasterboard. This is an important feature, especially in high-rise buildings,
where high weight means high foundation and handling costs.
CeramiBoard® can be produced with different densities if desired, but the current product which has been extensively tested has a density of about 500Kg/m3, which compares favourably with fire rated
plasterboard at 800Kg/m3 and fibre cement board at 1400Kg/m3.
